POSITION TITLE: Technology Support Specialist, 218 Days
LOCATION(S): Central Office - TBD
START DATE: as soon as possible
JOB DESCRIPTION: Facilitates the implementation of the technology initiative in order to enhance the teaching and learning process at the school level. Ensures that all activities conform to district guidelines. Presents a professional image when representing the school district through word, action and dress. Communicates effectively with members of the school district and community. Reacts to change productively and handles other task as assigned. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary technical school preferred.
SKILLS: Possesses personal characteristics and professional competencies to work successfully with teachers, administrators and support staff. Strong communication skills – both oral and written. Experience using various computers and computer programs. Ability to use time efficiently and to work without constant direction. Must be able to treat confidential information and sensitive situations with discretion.
EXPERIENCE: Formal technology training or a minimum of (3) three years of related work experience.
