POSITION TITLE: Teacher - Launch for the 2024-2025 School Year

START DATE: December 2, 2024
JOB DESCRIPTION: Establish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual need of the student. Display a thorough knowledge of special education curriculum. Maintain prompt and regular attendance. Support the philosophy and mission of the Bartow County School system. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia teaching certificate in Special Education General Curriculum with Elementary Education content.
SKILLS: Training in special needs of disabled population, including first aid and controlling aggressive behavior. Physical demands – must be able to stand and walk a minimum of six hours; lift, carry and pull up to 150 pounds. Ability and knowledge to effectively teach special education.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working in a special education classroom preferred.
