SPECIAL NEEDS BUS MONITOR - FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintains orderly conduct of students; Provide maximum safety for passengers while loading and unloading of students; Must monitor bus at end of routes to ensure all students have exited the vehicle; Report any hazardous situations along the route; Assist the driver in conducting emergency evacuation drills as required; Sweep and clean the inside of the bus daily; Attend meeting as required; Adhere to all appropriate drug and alcohol test as required; Follow all federal, state, and local polices and laws in execution of duties; Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or principal.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: Must has acceptable criminal background and fingerprint check.
SKILLS: Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations (as needed) in vision and communication. Ability to work without constant direction. Manifests emotional stability and maturity in all phases of job performance. Adheres to legal statutes, organizational rules, and community standards. Uses time efficiently. Ability to work well with students, parents, and school staff. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop and/or kneel. Must be able to push, pull, and/or reach overhead. Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
