ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, 2024- 2025 School Year 

Cass High School; Hamilton Crossing Elementary School; White Elementary School 

 

The Assistant Principal serves to support the Instructional Leader of the school in the areas of curriculum, operations, and safety for all students and staff.  

 

REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience in a public school setting;
• Masters' Degree required; Specialist Degree preferred.  
• Must hold or be eligible for the Georgia Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership as issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission;
• Works to enforce policies, protocols, and guidelines to maintain proper discipline and conduct;
• Works with and assists faculty in the development of effective classroom discipline and organization in order for effective instruction to take place;
• Assists the Principal with emergency preparedness drills on a regular basis;
• Works as part of a collaborative team to develop curriculum, goals and meet the needs of students through the professional learning community;
• Prepares reports, letters, and documents as assigned or necessary to effective communicate with all stakeholders;
• Assists with the supervision and evaluation of staff;
• Assists with the supervision and safety of special events to include building grounds, equipment and supplies;
• Must possess strong and effective communication skills, oral and written for interaction with students, staff, parents, and the community;
• Must be able to foster the success of students and staff through professional standards and ethics;
• Must follow federal, state, and local policies and procedures in all functions.
