JOB DESCRIPTION:   Establish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students in the classroom. Plan and implement effective lessons, using time, materials and resources effectively. Display a thorough knowledge of special education curriculum.  Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differences. Support the philosophy and mission of the Bartow County School System. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING:  Must hold a valid clear renewable Georgia teaching certificate in Special Education General Curriculum (P-12)  and Elementary Education (P-5). 

SKILLS:   Ability and knowledge to effectively teach special education at the Pre-K level.     

EXPERIENCE:  Previous teaching experience working in a special education classroom preferred but not required.
