POSITION TITLE:  Teacher - Physical Education for the 2026-2027 School Year

JOB DESCRIPTION:   Establish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual need of the students.  Display a thorough knowledge of the physical curriculum. Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differences.  Maintain prompt and regular attendance.  Support the philosophy and mission of the Bartow County School system. 

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING:  Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia teaching certificate in Health/Physical Education P-12. 

SKILLS:   Excellent written and oral skills to communicate with students, parents, and stakeholders.    Physical demands include standing and walking a minimum of six hours a day; lift, carry and pull up to 50 pounds. 

EXPERIENCE:  No previous classroom experience required.
